Karel Marx přišel po smrti jakožto ateista do pekla. Hned na začátku řekl čertům, že sen zbytečně dřou, že tahají těžký kotel, zatápějí pod kotlem, zatímco Lucifer si válí jen šunky a užívá si. Mezi čerty vypukla nespokojenost. Lucifer volal do nebe a říká: “Pane Bože, mám tady nějakého Marxe, podněcuje mi tu vzpouru. Nechceš si ho vzít do nebe, aby tu byl pokoj?” A Bůh řekl: “Já zmáknu klidně i Marxe.” Tak si ho vzal do nebe. Za měsíc volal Lucifer: “Pane Bože, tak co Marx? Nedělá problémy?” “Ne, všechno v pořádku.” Za dva měsíce znova volal Lucifer: “Pane Bože, pořád mi v hlavě leží ten Marx.Nedělá problémy?” “Ne, vše je pořádku.” Za půl roku volá Lucifer znovu a říká: “Pane Bože, tak s tím Marxem je to pořád O.K.?” A Bůh říká: “Tak za prvé: Soudruhu Bože. Za druhé: Neexistuju!”
